Join Sally and make this lovely little basket quilt. She will focus on precision sewing, quality workmanship, and multiple half-square triangle techniques to create two different sizes of blocks. Sally will focus on design, color and workmanship as you create this project over two days using mirrors and mock-ups. You will compose a beautiful Trip Around the World background and place triangles to create nine Ohio Stars. You will learn to manipulate value to integrate the stars into the background and eliminate the edges to create a beautiful mosaic. You will receive handouts for the design, and borders will be discussed. Skill Level: Confident Beginner and Beyond

#402 Mickey Lawler Skyscape Quilt CLASS CANCELLED
Have you ever wanted to create your own fabric then piece that fabric into a quilt design? Mickey will take you through the fun process of designing, hand painting, mixing colors, manipulating fabric, as well as painting special effects on that fabric. Spend a two day “vacation” with Gail while learning the fundamentals of star design and a myriad of spectacular borders. In this class you’ll create a full sized original quilt design with a central star and surrounding borders, and begin stitching it together using paper foundation piecing. #502 Kathy McNeil Landscapes to Love
Kathy will share the secrets that will bring your landscapes alive. Learn to choose fabrics that will create depth and dimension in your composition. Play with fabric paints, inks, discharge and overdying to create realistic hi-lights and shadows. Kathy will demonstrate a mix of appliqué techniques with the landscape pattern of your choice.
