Entry #303 "Milo's Feathered Friends" Carol G. Benson
Barrington Hills, IL

Milo's Feathered Friends by Carol g. Benson

This quilt was made in honor of my Dad who is 92 years of age. He built me many a wren house. Can you find the wrens in their nests? I really love Amish quilts and have done a lot of research on them. Quilt made with hand-dyed fabric to emulate wool that was used in old Amish quilts. Machine quilted on home sewing machine with trapunto and I used a wool bat. Original quilting designs.

Source of Design: Original.

Made and Quilted By: Carol G. Benson.

Entry #316 "Garden Mosaic " Ellen Rabeneck Louisville, KY

Garden Mosiac by Ellen Rabeneck

This quilt was started in 2003 at the request of my daughter, Jane Sodano. She selected the fabric in the center. It's a darker quilt than I normally make, but it turned out to be a lovely quilt for a lovely young woman and her husband. All pieces fussy cut.

Source of Design: "Garden Party: Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilts and More" by Dorothy K. Wray.

Made and Quilted By: Ellen Rabeneck.
