The center of the quilt is based on a contemporary nine-patch quilt I saw in "American Patchwork and Quilting" magazine, May/Apr 2003. The border was drawn using EQ5. I chose to paper piece parts of the blocks and the entire border. |

My quilt is paper pieced using the design "Excalibur" by Pamela Tawton from an article in Quilters' Newsletter Magazine. It was made for my grandson; and the colors darks and brights speak of his interest in chivalry, knighthood, broadswords, magic, aerospace and things that navigate through space. |

I made this quilt while living in Bloomington . The colors were inspired by the gorgeous fall foliage there. Now that I've moved away, the quilt reminds me of the good times I had with my friends in Bloomington. |
