This mono-chromatic snow scene is totally done free form with no templates. Some of the trees were added with thread-play technique. Glitter thread was used to add the look of glistening snow on a cold winter's day. By changing the binding color to white at the bottom, adds to the feel of snow at your feet. |

In 1996 I traveled to Kenya . While on safari, we spent a few hours watching a pride of lions with three males, seven females, and many cubs. This is an image of one of the cubs. Hand painted with dyes, machine quilted. |

Hand appliquéd, some machine piecing, 100% cotton and satin material, trapunto, and embroidery. Reminds me of my daughter, Alexandra. Inspiration came from cross stitch pattern by Paula Vaughn, but I changed many things. Borders are original design. |
